Socialist Bench

During the 2021-2026 parliamentary term, several congressmen elected under the Free Peru caucus resigned from the party or became politically disaffiliated, forming a dissident bloc that sought to articulate its own proposal.

In July 2024, these congressmen formally constituted the Socialist Bench and presented a list for the Congressional Board of Directors, with Silvana Robles as their candidate to preside over that body.

The motions in Impeachment of Dina Boluarte were promoted by the Socialist Bench.
