Ara Eivissa

(Now Ibiza)

A Spanish political party with a progressive left-wing ideology, whose scope of action is limited to the island of Ibiza. It defines itself as eco-sovereignist, environmentalist, municipalist, and feminist.

Founded in 2019 as a coalition between Guanyem Eivissa, Esquerra Republicana, and Equo, it became a political party in August 2022.

It was publicly presented in February 2019 with the intention of running in the municipal, regional, and Ibiza Island Council elections. In March of the same year, they announced their candidacy for the Spanish general elections under the Veus Progressistes banner, along with Més per Mallorca, Més per Menorca, and Esquerra Republicana de les Illes Balears. However, for the Senate, they ran independently in the Ibiza and Formentera constituency with Josep Antoni Prats as their candidate.

In 2022, they joined the Ara Més coalition with Més per Mallorca, Més per Menorca, and independents from the Balearic Islands, aiming to achieve a Balearic sovereignty voice in the following general elections.

For the 2023 Spanish general elections, they ruled out joining Sumar for Congress, although they decided not to run themselves in order to avoid splitting the vote. Instead, they ran for the Senate under the Eivissa i Formentera al Senat coalition.

For the 2024 European elections, it joined the Ahora Repúblicas coalition, formed by Ara Més, ERC, BNG, and EH Bildu, with Mercè Chumillas as the party's candidate within the coalition.
