Party of Russia's Rebirth

Founded by Speaker of the State Duma, Gennadiy Seleznyov, after he left the Communist Party of the Russian Federation; The party was founded on the basis of the Rossiya public movement, founded by Seleznyov in 2000.

Merged into the Patriots of Russia on 9 September 2008. Re-established on 26 October 2012.

A year after Seleznyov's death, on 26 June 2016, Igor Ashurbeyli, head of the Socium Holding, was elected the party's new leader. He provided the party with the necessary maintenance and funding, as well as the Rossiya movement. Ashurbeyli also claims to be the head of the micronation Asgardia, the Space Nation.
