Together for Šumadija

Заједно за Шумадију Zajedno za Šumadiju

A decentralist, liberal-right political party in Serbia. It advocates for a "state of regions" and a bicameral parliament, accelerated economic development for Serbia, and urgent Euro-Atlantic integration. The party was founded Veroljub Stevanović, the Mayor of Kragujevac, who served as the deputy president of United Regions of Serbia during 2013 and 2014. The party became active again in 2015, and in 2020, it merged into Milan Stamatović's newly formed Healthy Serbia party, with Veroljub assuming the position of vice-president.

Shortly thereafter, the party separated again; as of January 2022, it joined the National Democratic Alternative coalition and supported Miloš Jovanović as its presidential candidate for the upcoming elections.

On June 10, 2008, the process of establishing a new political party under the working title Together for Šumadija began. It is a modern, decentralist party of the liberal right, basing its platform on the principles of decentralization and accelerated economic development. The Together for Šumadija Initiative Committee was constituted in Kragujevac on 11 October 2008, marking the start of preparations for the new party's founding congress in 2009. The Initiative Committee included representatives from the "Together" organizations led by Veroljub "Verko" Stevanović, which had formed local governments in Batočina, Knić, and Rekovac following local elections, as well as "Together" organizations established in Smederevska Palanka, Čačak (Citizens' Group for Čačak), Trstenik, Kruševac, Sokobanja, Aleksandrovac, Aranđelovac, Gornji Milanovac, and Topola.

The founding congress of Together for Šumadija was held on 2 May 2009, in Kragujevac.

Veroljub Stevanović was unanimously elected at the Together for Šumadija founding congress, which was held under the slogan "Šumadija at the Center of the World" and attended by 460 delegates from 15 city and municipal committees. Upon the proposal of the Initiative Committee, the Congress unanimously elected the following as Vice-Presidents of Together for Šumadija: Saša Milenić, a philosophy graduate from Kragujevac, Member of Parliament, and President of the Kragujevac City Assembly; Nebojša Vasiljević, a law graduate from Kragujevac and member of the Kragujevac City Council in charge of investments and development; and Branko Lazović, a mechanical engineering graduate from Čačak.

ZZŠ holds two seats in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia as part of the "For a Democratic Serbia" coalition list: Veroljub Stevanović, Mayor of Kragujevac, and Saša Milenić, President of the Kragujevac City Assembly.

President: Veroljub Stevanović
