Green Ecological Party – The Greens

Зелена еколошка партија – Зелени Zelena ekološka partija – Zeleni

A political party founded in 2008. Dejan Bulatović led ZEP–Greens from 2015 onwards. He brought the party into a coalition with the Greens of Serbia (ZS), which dissolved prior to the 2017 presidential election, and it was part of the Citizens' Bloc 381 coalition formed in 2018, led by the Movement of Free Citizens (PSG). In November 2018, ZEP–Greens left the Bloc. A month later, ZEP–Greens joined the Alliance for Serbia (SzS), an opposition political alliance launched by Dragan Đilas in 2018. A series of anti-government protests began in December 2018 following a physical attack on Borko Stefanović; the SzS supported the protests.

In March 2019, it was announced that Đilas and Bulatović had agreed to restructure the party into the SSP and that Đilas would serve as its president. Đilas had previously stated that he did not plan to buy ZEP–Greens. Alongside ZEP–Greens, the Left of Serbia (LS), a political party led by Stefanović, as well as ten movements and individuals, merged to form the SSP. The founding assembly was held on 19 April 2019, during which Đilas was elected president, Stefanović deputy president, and Bulatović and Marinika Tepić vice-presidents.

President: Dejan Bulatović (since 2015)
