Workers and Entrepreneurs Party

Partido de los Trabajadores y Emprendedores

Founded in April 2023, the party was led by Napoleón Becerra, a left-wing perennial candidate. He co-founded it together with members of the Communist Party of Peru – Red Fatherland.

Among the party's most prominent members are historical former left-wing parliamentarians Rolando Breña Pantoja and César Barrera Bazán.

In November 2025, extraordinary congress of the Communist Party of Peru – Red Fatherland approved the mass withdrawal of its militants from PTE. Its public break was announced on 26 November 2025.

The party was projected to participate in the 2026 general election. However, after Becerra's death on 15 March 2026 in a car accident in Huaytará, Huancavelica, the party's presidential list was ruled out according to the National Jury of Elections, given that Peruvian electoral law does not allow a replacement for a presidential nomination in the case of the candidate's death.

For the October 2026 regional and municipal elections, PTE formed the electoral alliance Partido de los Trabajadores y Emprendedores PTE Perú–Comunidad Política Inka Perú. It was legally registered on 25 March 2026 by JNE Resolution.

President: Napoleón Becerra (14 April 2023 – 15 March 2026), Walter Becerra (acting, since 15 March 2026)
