International Conference of Marxist–Leninist Parties and Organizations

Conferencia Internacional de Partidos y Organizaciones Marxistas-Leninistas

An international network of far-left communist parties founded in 1994 in Quito, the capital of Ecuador.

Its ideology is based on the ideas of Marx, Engels, Lenin, and Stalin, along with the thought of Enver Hoxha, which it opposed as revisionism. In other words, it has taken a position contrary to the policies of the Soviet Union under Khrushchev, Brezhnev, and Gorbachev; of China after Mao Zedong; and of the self-proclaimed 21st-century socialism in countries like Venezuela and Bolivia, which it considers an "anti-Marxist current."
