A Spanish political party based in Navarre; its origins are linked to those of Zutik in the Basque Country. Batzarre was established as an electoral ticket in 1987, bringing together the Communist Movement of Euskadi and the Revolutionary Communist League; it can be considered the successor to platforms such as the Navarrese Left Union (1977), the Navarrese Association of Left-Wing Municipalities (1979), the Navarrese Left Assembly (1979), and Auzolan (1983).
Batzarre was officially constituted as a political party in March 1991. Its presence is limited, confined primarily to the Pamplona and Tudela areas. In 2010, it had 510 members[1] and was a member of the Nafarroa Bai coalition until leaving it in 2011 to form the Izquierda-Ezkerra electoral coalition with United Left of Navarre.
President: Milagros Rubio
